An upbeat pop/funk/rock/dance song based on the theme of a flight. The lyric encourages us to put on the shades of confidence and showers us with motivation, courage, hope, energy and power. The aim of the song has been to mentally lift up the listener especially after a period of hardship. So a heavy, powerful and groovy rhythm was chosen in the production in order to get the body moving and dance.

The radio communications during the song were inspired from Michael Jackson’s “They Don’t Care about us”, in which the communicators are police and security forces. However, in this song (Shades On), the context is a plane’s flight and the communicators are the pilot, cabin crew and the air traffic control tower. The flight is an analogy to the music which has an ascend as well as a descend. To SINASOUND, music is like a flight where the producer is the pilot and the listeners are the passengers. That’s why the song begins and ends with the captain announcements saying “ready for take-off” and “ready for landing”, respectively.
